Archaeological Museum of Chalkida
The Archaeological Museum of Chalkida collects findings from all over Euboea. The building has a wide yard and three halls, where the exhibits are displayed. The findings are dated back to the Paleolithic to the Late Romaic Eras. The exhibition includes collections with findings from the settlement and cemetery of Manika (2800 – 1900 BC), Mycenaean, Boeotic and Euboic ceramics, classical and Hellenistic coins from Chalkida, Eretria and Karystos, Romaic votive sculptures from Chalkida and Aedipsos, tomb monuments from Chalkida and Nea Lampsakos and majestic mosaics, both inside and outside the museum. The permanent exhibition is chronologically organized so that visitors can get an overall view of ancient Euboea.
