Ano mera, Mykonos
Ano Mera is a beautiful, quiet village in the centre of the island, about 8km from the city of Mykonos. It is the only mountain village of the island, that’s why it has preserved the peace and quiet, which is nowhere to be found in the rest of the island. The alleys of the village stand out for their characteristic Cycladic figure, the delicious traditional cuisine and the warmth of the locals’ hospitality. There are traditional cafeterias and taverns around the village’s central square and you can also visit the monastery of Panaghia Tourliani, founded in the 15th century.
