Diros Cave

The cave of Diros is on the west coast of the Peninsula of Lakonia. It is considered the most beautiful lake caves in the world. The cave started forming hundred thousands of years ago and the stalactites and stalagmites that are now beneath sea level were formed back when the level of the sea was much lower. Visitors can tour the cave with boats and there is also a part of it accessible on foot.
