Odontotos rack railway

The railroad connecting Diakopto with Kalavryta, also known as Odontotos rack railway crosses the Vouraikos gorge through many tunnels and bridges and covers a total length of 22km. Today it’s mainly used for touristic purposes and it’s one of the most beautiful mountain trails in Greece. The width of the railway is 75cm, which makes it one of the narrowest railways in Greece, in order for smaller and more maneuverable wagons to be used in this difficult trail.
