Citadel of Orchomenos
The citadel of Orchomenos was based on fortifying architecture, so that it could protect the citizens from invasions. It’s on a 233m height and a majestic tower stands on top an enormous rock. 88 steps lead up to the tower and its central gates are still preserved. The castle of Orchomenos is bound to have been used as an observatory and watchtower, from where the locals used smoke signals to communicate with nearby cities.
