Pontikonisi
Pontikonisi is a green small isle in the middle of the sea and the landmark of Corfu. You can visit the isle within the Easter holidays and throughout the summer with little boats leaving from Kanoni. There is a Byzantine monastery on the isle, which is also the only building on it. In Homer’s Ulysses, it is mentioned that Corfu, the Feakes Island was Ulysses’ last stop before he reached Ithaca. According to the myth, Pontikonisi was actually Ulysses boat, which the Greek God Poseidon turned into the isle we know today.
