Kioni

Kioni is a village of Ithaca built inside a bay and its settlement is to be preserved as cultural heritage. There are three abandoned windmills at the entrance of the bay and it is an ideal place for boats to dock. The settlement was built during the 16th century and it is very impressive that it was not destroyed by the great earthquake of 1953. Kioni is 24km from Vathi and has a great view and beautiful beaches.
